FRUIT COCKTAIL DESSERT

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 t. soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 One pound can fruit cocktail–juice included or 2cups fruit cocktail
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Combine dry ingredients (save brown sugar and nuts for topping). Sift and add egg. Mix and add fruit. Pour into a greased cake pan. Top with 3/4 c. brown sugar and 1/2 cups chopped nuts. Bake 3500 for about 45 minutes or until cake tester is clean. Serve with whipped cream.
